PROJECT:
Flight Golf – Multi-Surface UX for Immersive Gameplay

CLIENT: Atomic Golf

LOCATION: Las Vegas, NV

For Atomic Golf’s flagship entertainment venue, I led the UX and interface design for Flight Golf—a high-energy, projection-mapped mini golf game that combines physical play with digital responsiveness. The experience relied on a dual-interface system: touchscreen kiosks for onboarding and gameplay navigation, and dynamic turf projections for in-game feedback and interaction.

I developed a cohesive user flow across both interfaces, ensuring that guests could easily start a game, track progress, and engage with the environment in real time. The work involved designing for immediacy, clarity, and brand alignment—key UX principles shared with retail and e-commerce experiences that must guide users smoothly across multiple platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- UX design for dual-interface system (kiosk + projection-mapped surface)

- Game flow development from onboarding to scoring

- UI design for touchscreen interaction and in-game visual prompts

- Art direction for animations, icons, and feedback states

- Visual consistency across screen types and branded physical space

MY ROLE

I served as Art Director for this project, leading the visual direction and hands-on design for three Atomic Golf games—Bocce Golf, Territory, and Around The World. My work included storyboarding, developing the visual language, and directing all graphics, UI, and animations across both touchscreen kiosks and projection-mapped turf. I ensured brand consistency with Atomic Golf’s entertainment venues and collaborated closely with the team to optimize the design for a ball-tracking, projection-based gameplay system.
